Geraldine McEwan character lives a common life in England, but during her vacations in France, she relaxes luxuriously by herself, while fantasizing about an imagined and unreachable lover. Then the hotel chef comes along ...
It was okay. Geraldine McEwan had her fragile granny voice even then.
What I didn't like - that French chef is still gross and what an alcoholic. Honestly. Rubbing his backside against a tree like a bear.
What I liked - McEwan's blue dress with the polka dots. Sort of reminds me of Northanger Abbey, with the dream/fantasy sequences. I'd rather continue being a dreamer rather than settle. I don't want reality soiling my dreams.
